Senators question commission's role in oil speculation study

Four Democratic senators are questioning the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's role in a study concluding that supply and demand factors -- and not oil speculators -- are to blame for high oil prices. The study was released in July just before the Senate was to vote on a bill designed to put limits on excessive speculation in futures markets, and the lawmakers call that timing suspicious.
