Cap-and-trade should exempt U.S. aviation fuel, says Delta VP

Fuel efficiency among U.S. airline companies improved 110% between 1978 and 2007, writes Steve Sear, Delta Air Lines vice president of global sales. Sear also notes that Delta is working toward even greater efficiency by 2025, to meet guidelines set by the Air Transport Association. However, he fears the cap-and-trade provision in the American Clean Energy and Security Act will jeopardize progress.
