New Zealand, U.S. groups sign mutual-recognition agreement

The International Qualifications Appraisal Board, acting on behalf of the AICPA and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, has entered into a mutual-recognition agreement with New Zealand's Institute of Chartered Accountants. The purpose of the agreement is to simplify the process by which U.S. CPAs are granted recognition as chartered accountants in New Zealand and that nation's chartered accountants are recognized as CPAs in the U.S.
