Broker-dealers want FINRA to implement proxy proposals

Last week, broker-dealers approved proxy proposals aimed at enhancing the transparency of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and they want the regulator to move on the suggestions. The proposals are nonbinding, but with approval from 67% of FINRA members that voted, the agency is expected to seriously consider the changes.
