Burger King drops minority shops in favor of one-agency approach

Burger King is dropping its two creative shops handling ads aimed at Hispanics and African-Americans, in favor of having MDC Partners' Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Miami and Boulder, Colo., handle creative aimed at "our consumers as a whole," according to one executive. As a result, LatinWorks, Austin, Texas, which handled Hispanic ads, and UniWorld Group, Brooklyn, N.Y., which had done national radio campaigns for African-Americans, are out.
