Fifth Third expects regulatory reform to cut deposit fees

Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bancorp said financial regulatory-reform legislation passed in July will reduce deposit fee revenue by roughly $20 million each quarter. Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase and other major banks have also said rules that limit bank overdraft fees will hurt their revenue. Fifth Third said other rules will cause only a minimal affect.
