Fortified milk can fight malnutrition

A study in India funded by Fonterra indicates that fortified milk is more beneficial than plain milk in combating childhood malnutrition. Children ages 1 to 4 drank either plain milk or fortified milk three times a day for a year, and researchers said the children drinking fortified milk gained more weight and had a lower risk of anemia.
