Hudgens reaches accord with Ga. ethics body on improper fund transfer

Georgia state Sen. Ralph Hudgens, the Republican nominee for insurance commissioner, agreed with the State Ethics Commission to reverse the improper transfer of $100,000 in re-election campaign funds to his current campaign. The commission will not impose a penalty but ordered Hudgens not to make any more fund transfers. He will face Democrat Mary Squires and Libertarian Shane Bruce in the state general election this fall.
