Obama reportedly will propose tax cuts for firms that hire new workers

Measures targeting the long-term unemployed, including tax breaks for firms that add workers to their payrolls, will be part of President Barack Obama's proposals to Congress aimed at stimulating job creation, administration officials said. Some of the measures under consideration, including mortgage help for homeowners in financial trouble, could be implemented by executive order, they said.
