Rural hospitals get federal help with health IT adoption

The federal government has introduced a program designed to give rural hospitals and other small businesses access to capital. As part of the effort, HHS will publish guidance that will broaden its loan repayment program to allow about 1,300 critical access hospitals to apply for loans that they can use to employ new doctors and adopt health IT systems.
