CDC: Cyclosporiasis outbreak hits 576 people in 19 states

CDC officials reported Friday that the stomach bug outbreak linked to cyclospora infection has now sickened 576 people in 19 states, with at least 36 of those requiring hospitalization. "To date, only the salad mix has been implicated in the outbreak of cyclosporiasis in Iowa and Nebraska," the FDA said. The agency is still investigating whether the salad blend caused the infections in other states.
