Ky. school district adjusts curricula for common core

District leaders in Jefferson County Public Schools in Kentucky are giving schools room to adopt programs that meet the needs of their unique student populations and Common Core State Standards. "Our schools know their kids better than anyone else and they understand their teachers," said Dewey Hensley, the district's chief academic officer. So far, some schools have chosen to adopt curriculum programs Math in Focus: The Singapore Approach and Go Math!
