NMSU gets $5M federal grant for algae research

New Mexico State University has received a $5 million Department of Energy grant to further the development of drop-in algae-based fuel. Among the NMSU Algal Bioenergy team's partners in the effort are the Los Alamos, Argonne and Pacific Northwest national laboratories; Phycal; Algenol Biofuels; Pan Pacific Technologies; UOP-Honeywell; and Washington State and Michigan State universities.
