Researchers list 49 bioenergy crops that have low invasiveness potential

Researchers led by University of Illinois plant ecologist Lauren Quinn have completed a list of 49 bioenergy crops that they say have a small chance of becoming invasive. The researchers also crafted regulatory definitions and guidelines to guard against invasive species of bioenergy crops. Quinn hopes the definitions would be incorporated into the Renewable Fuel Standard.
