Critics dismiss grim analysis of charter data

Although a recent analysis found that students in charter schools lagged about six months behind peers in traditional schools, some observers urge closer scrutiny of the data. Andrew Rotherman, a researcher at a liberal think tank, says when the data is controlled for race, there's no statistical difference in performance between charters and public schools.
