U.K. gives go-ahead to Internet-only pharmacies in England

The changes announced by the government would allow Internet-only and mail order pharmacies offering National Health Service prescription services to receive licenses. While some pharmacies already allow customers to buy prescription drugs online, they must have a "bricks and mortar" component to their business. The government said it made provisions to protect small community pharmacists from being driven out of business.
