Unapproved biotech rice found in U.S. supply

Bayer CropScience AG notified U.S. officials that some of its biotech rice accidentally had become mixed with commercial supplies of long-grain rice. Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns said information from Bayer indicates the rice is safe for human consumption, and Bayer said the company is "cooperating closely" with the government.
