Caribbean, Latin American countries follow Brazil into biofuel market

Latin American and Caribbean countries have followed Brazil in pursuing global trade of sugar cane-derived biofuels. Producers in Jamaica, Trinidad, Costa Rica and El Salvador are making ethanol from imported alcohol made from Brazilian sugar cane before shipping it to the U.S.
