Involve all associates in profit optimization

Hotels often lay the task of profit optimization on the shoulders of the revenue manager, when in fact the process should be a responsibility of every associate. Some ways that associates can do their part in boosting sales and decreasing costs include training staff to convert callers from third-party sites into direct bookings, and creating special rates for target markets, such as military spouses.
