Report: Women are having fewer children, or none

The Census Bureau reports that twice as many women today in their early 40s are opting to have no children as 30 years ago and that women who do have children have an average of 1.9, more than one child fewer than women in 1976. The data also showed about 36% of women who gave birth in the previous year were separated, divorced, widowed or unmarried and about 25% were living below the poverty level.
