Consumers turning to e-mail and text messages for coupons

Sunday newspapers and other print materials still dominate as top sources for coupons, but Americans increasingly are signing up to receive coupons through e-mails and text messages. According to research, about 8% of U.S. households get coupons through e-mail or text, with users tending to be young, affluent, educated and female.
