Embraer commuter jets get increased scrutiny from regulators

Regulators are pushing for required checks of cargo doors and escape slides on regional aircraft manufactured by Embraer. Safety officials say the two issues represent a serious concern, though they have yet to cause any injuries or crashes of the Embraer 170 or 190 models.
