Let the hirer beware: Some people lost jobs for a reason

Small-business owner Jay Goltz says most of the business problems he has encountered have been the result of hiring the wrong people. Entrepreneurs tend to be busy, optimistic people who spend more time in interviews talking about their companies than asking the right questions, and with the market flooded with people who have been laid off, Goltz writes, it is more important now than ever to establish a good hiring process.
