Study finds high levels of antioxidants in whole-grain snacks

Researchers found that many whole-grain breakfast cereals and grain-based snacks contain high levels of polyphenols that help lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer and other illnesses. These whole-grain products contain comparable amounts of antioxidants per gram to fruits and vegetables, they said.
