Apple throws all of its support behind iAd, plans to wind down Quattro

Apple will shutter mobile-ad company Quattro Wireless by the end of September as it instead focuses its efforts on its iAd network. The move comes eight months after Apple bought Quattro for $275 million. Apple's iAd, started in July, offers interactive ads in iPhone and iPod Touch applications.
