BarCap: Banks would meet Basel III rules without much fundraising

An analysis by Barclays Capital shows that major banks should be able to meet proposed requirements from the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision without needing to raise as much capital as expected. A similar analysis by Nomura shows that leading European banks also would benefit from changes to the proposal. The data are expected to revive concerns that the Basel Committee eased the proposal too much.
