Economist: Construction in metro areas on both coasts to recover first

Construction of new buildings other than single-family homes will recover most strongly over the next year in California, Washington, D.C., New England, the Mid-Atlantic (except Pennsylvania), the Midwest and the Northern Plains, according to Jim Haughey. South Atlantic states, except for Florida, will see slow growth in new construction, while the Gulf and Rocky Mountain states are unlikely to see much recovery at all over the next year, he adds.
