Facebook's Places offers new possibilities for marketing, apps

Facebook's Places, because of the social network's base of more than 500 million users, offers much potential for marketers who opt in now staking out their own page, according to Michael Lazerow, CEO of Buddy Media. There's also potential for developers to create applications for locations that list users who check in, and to add more functions as Facebook develops the program, Lazerow writes.
