Now Facebook is going "Places"

Facebook this week announced an application called Places that will allow users to broadcast their location to friends on the network by "checking in" at businesses they visit. The application, similar to services such as Foursquare and Gowalla, is a game-changer for the location-based marketing movement, write John Jantsch and other experts on small-business marketing.
