Researchers warn of stroke risk for male drinkers with hypertension

South Korean researchers found that men with hypertension who binge drink had a higher risk for stroke or heart attack compared with nondrinkers. Men who drank six or more drinks at one time had a fourfold increased risk for stroke, and consuming 12 drinks or more was linked to a 12-fold increased risk, the study found.
