Survey finds few problems as cargo screening hits 100%

Most freight forwarders say the Aug. 1 deadline for screening 100% of cargo shipped on passenger flights was similar to the "Y2K" scare -- lots of dread with little actual impact. According to a survey, only 5% of respondents encountered severe problems during the first week that the new policy was in force, and no particular airports or airlines were viewed as especially problematic.
