Workshop helps student with auditory disorder learn leadership skills

Jamin Alcamo, an 18-year-old California student with auditory processing disorder, was among 60 student delegates with special needs to participate in a statewide leadership workshop. The weeklong Youth Leadership Forum was aimed at motivating teens with disabilities to aspire to leadership roles. "It was eye-opening," Alcamo said. "There are a lot of people who don't have empathy for other people."
