ACC urges trade-secret protection in Calif. fracking bill

A California Senate committee could vote next week on an Assembly bill that proposes full disclosure of the chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing. The American Chemistry Council is among groups seeking amendments to the legislation, arguing in a letter to the committee that any bill "should include appropriate trade secret language to ensure that proprietary formulas of hydraulic fracturing solutions are protected."
