Companies embrace analytics to make sense of security data

IT security is becoming increasingly complex as companies face more sophisticated threats, and enterprises are finding it more difficult to maintain a hold on all the data encountered in the course of protecting their networks. In response, many companies are using analytics tools to help them process their security information, according to a survey conducted by Forrester Consulting and commissioned by Sensage. A poll of 434 North American enterprises with 5,000 or more employees found that 67% said analytics tools are important or essential for making security data actionable.
