Google opens way to integrate desktop, mobile ad campaigns

Google has completed a transition that lets advertisers combine their desktop and mobile ad campaigns, having integrated its newly acquired AdMob ad startup with Google's DoubleClick ad server. "It's really a stepping stone to that place where you can say, 'I want to reach this set of users and I don't want to have to think about whether they're on a mobile phone,' " Google product manager Clay Bavor said.
