La. authority wants delay in Corps' armoring plan for east bank levees

The Army Corps of Engineers should defer the deadline for its armoring plan for the levees along the east bank levees, according to the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East. The Corps should conduct further research to determine if the plan is appropriate, the board said. "We don't want that date to drive potentially bad decisions," said Tim Doody, the east bank authority's president.
