DHS takes Bitcoin currency from Mt. Gox, court documents say

Court documents show the Department of Homeland Security seized more than $2.9 million worth of Bitcoin virtual currency from Tokyo-based Mt. Gox in an action earlier this year. "Mt. Gox owner Mark Karpeles had allegedly concealed the fact that he opened the account in order to run a money transfer business. Karpeles has since stated that Mt. Gox is in compliance with federal and state financial regulations," Jeff John Roberts writes.
