EU reportedly calls for unified definition of bad loans

EU supervisors reportedly want to use a single definition for bad loans in a review of banks' asset quality. "These standards will also give the [European Central Bank's] supervisory role much greater credibility when the banking sector and investors need it most," according to a note from Moody's Analytics Managing Director Alessio Balduini.
