If you source conflict minerals, say so

Companies shouldn't be afraid to admit they're still using conflict minerals in their products, as long as they're also acting to end the practice, writes former State Department adviser Brad Brooks-Rubin. Pursuing conflict-free status at all costs could lead companies to abandon Africa's Great Lakes region rather than working to support responsible suppliers. "Rather than flee, companies must persist in their efforts," Brooks-Rubin writes.
