Lego prepares to inspire a new generation of engineers

Lego is once again generating excitement among engineers who grew up with Lego robotics, first introduced in 1998. It is hoped that Lego's new Mindstorms sets due next month will inspire a new generation of kids. "There’s actually a lot of engineering that goes into Lego bricks and the systems you can prototype out of them are pretty sophisticated," said Stanford University engineering professor Christian Gerdes.
