Neb. planning board drops effort to limit helicopter routes

A proposal by the Planning Board in Kearney, Neb., to restrict medical helicopter flight paths to and from Kearney Regional Medical Center was dropped after hospital officials said it would make takeoffs and landings difficult. The board wanted to restrict helicopters from flying over Yanney Heritage Park; instead the board will recommend a warning light be placed on top of the park's observation tower.
