Study finds higher autism recurrence risk for full-, half-siblings

Younger brothers and sisters of children with autism spectrum disorder were nearly seven times more likely to have the same condition than the general population, Danish researchers found. The relative recurrence risks for maternal half-siblings and paternal half-siblings were 2.4% and 1.5%, respectively. The findings were published in JAMA Pediatrics.
