"Dangerous schools" lists contain anomalies, critics say

At least nine states have reported having no dangerous schools, despite national crime statistics from 2000 that indicated 72 out of every 1,000 students ages 12 through 18 were victims of crime at school. Critics believe administrators are reluctant to report incidents of crime on their campuses.
