Dietary supplement suppliers jump into low-carb craze

Drug companies such as Bayer and Wyeth are marketing vitamins to carb-conscious consumers. Roughly 5 million of the 44 million Americans who are either on a low-carb diet or are watching their intake are taking supplements, according to the Natural Marketing Association. Many health experts contend the best place to get nutrients is through whole foods.
