Miller apologizes for black-artist omission

Miller Brewing Co. has admitted its misstep in not including a black artist on its commemorative rock 'n' roll beer cans, a promotion with Rolling Stone to celebrate the genre's 50th anniversary. "African-Americans obviously have played a formative role in the development of rock 'n' roll, and despite our efforts, we did not manage this component of the promotion appropriately," the company said in a statement.
