Eating local gets easier

The taste of Long Island corn or a little lump of Hudson Valley goat cheese tastes better than supermarket offerings, this writer says, and luckily for her, the local food is growing so quickly in certain areas that even cooks are in awe. "We have people calling every week wanting to start farmers' markets," said Linda Piotrowicz of the Connecticut Department of Agriculture. "It's gotten to the point where we've had trouble recruiting enough farmers."
