MVI discs to rival CDs?

Music video interactive discs may replace compact discs as the preferred medium for consumers, as the interactive discs boast many multimedia features not seen in their compact ancestors. "The CD is for someone who just wants the tunes," said Geoff Mayfield, Billboard's director of charts. "A real fan wants the pricier package. A computer unlocks the goodies: ringtones, wallpaper, MP3s. The idea is: Let's put one version out for the masses and a completest edition for the die-hard."
