Study shows digital-cable penetration outpaces competition

In the last three years, during which time the cable industry saw an onslaught of competition from the satellite and telecom sectors, digital-cable penetration outpaced all others by notching 34% of the market, according to a new study from CTAM. Satellite penetration during the same period increased to just 27%, leaving CTAM President and CEO Char Beales with one overriding observation: "Clearly, cable remains very strong, even in an environment of fierce competition."
