Duncan: Teach for America is eligible for stimulus funds

Teach for America and similar programs could receive federal stimulus money for education, according to Education Secretary Arne Duncan. He said $650 million in grants will go to programs that have a track record for success. In a speech Thursday, Duncan said Teach for America "hasn't solved the problem of how we recruit the best and the brightest to be teachers" but has excited a new generation about teaching.
