Top Vermont teachers call for improvements to NCLB

About 30 past winners of Vermont's Teacher of the Year award gathered Tuesday to voice their concerns about No Child Left Behind. The teachers said they feel the federal system of benchmarks punishes schools that must include low test scores from students with disabilities. The government should provide an assessment that more effectively tests children with special needs, said one teacher.
